About Cloth Poppy
A passion for fabrics and pretty dresses passed down three generations inspired me to create Cloth Poppy.
My grandmother Ivy was a dressmaker who won quite a following among the country ladies of Western Victoria for her chic finely tailored pieces. I learnt to sew early and made my own party outfits from age 10.
My daughter Ella-Rose, 5, the modern day princess, has adopted a skirts-only policy and will only wear the ones she fancies. Like the ones that swish and swirl with lots of nice drawings in bright, bold colours.
My debut line of girlswear ages 2-6, consists of dresses and skirts made from recycled vintage and new fabrics. I source Liberty and 100% cottons from Europe and America.
Fabric flowers and wooden beads necklaces, and hair clips, add a touch of whimsy to the Cloth Poppy look.
Every item is proudly designed and lovingly hand made in Melbourne.
